Working equipment in decent shape is donation-grade — community centers, school programs, and charities take fitness gear gladly, and you get the receipt. Broken machines are valuable anyway: treadmills and weight sets are dense with recyclable steel, and motors and electronics are routed to the right recyclers. Very little of a home gym needs to see a landfill.
